Ron – BW$P
Meet Ron.
After lunch, I was in a bit of a rush to get back to the office for a meeting, but I came across Ron asking for change in front of Taco Bell at the corner of California and Drumm. I explained my project to him and he asked if I would give him $3. I told him the project was the $1 portrait project. He thought about it for a second and said sure, but with his reservations, asked, “What is this project for?” I simply told him for myself and he was happy with that answer. Since I was in a bit of a rush, I only had time to chat for a few seconds. When I asked Ron how long he has been in San Francsisco, he answered, “Since ’92.” I asked him where he lived in the city and he said, “The loin…you know, the tenderloin.” I also found out that he has one sister also living in San Francisco. I wrapped it up and shook his hand and told him it was a pleasure to meet him.
