Got What It Takes

Got What It Takes by Justin Korn

Description: Okay, I’ll admit it, I love black and white photography.  For every photograph I process in color, I almost always check to see what it would look like processed as black and white.  In a previous post, I argued that the true beauty of the subject does not come out in a color photograph, but rather in a black and white one.  I stand by that statement again.

How many times have you seen pictures of jellyfish on that nice, crystal clear, blue backdrop?  I love that cliche picture, and have even taken a stab at it once or twice myself.  Now think back and try to remember how many times you’ve seen those elegant jellyfish swimming around in black and white?  If you have seen it, it’s probably very rare, yet, in my eyes at least, just as beautiful.
